What kind if flatworm is this again? I think I remember seeing threads of this guy and most saying he's harmless? Posted Image

I have 2 of them that live in my current tank. They're unusual and appear to be harmless, but if they ate a coral or two, I wouldn't really be concerned. They just have a specialized diet. It's all about perspective.

If you don't want it, I'll take it and then they can be a nice happy flatworm family.

Looks like a polyclad flatworm, snail/clam/mollusk eater, sometimes corals. I have/had them (not sure if I eradicated them or not). Hope these help.

Going back in the fuge. I read on reef to reef that the red ones are bad and clear are harmless. If he or offspring does make it to display tank they will have to go through the meat grinder aka pump.

gmerek2 - You should take a turkey baster and blast the corals in your tank just to make sure you don't have more and that they are not eating anything. They blend in with the corals and hide perfectly.

Wow, I've heard they can get big, didn't know that big. Yikes!

A limpet is a type of snail.

Looks like another Netted Flatworm, Pseudoceros texarus.  A snail predator, I believe.  I've found them taking out my astrea snails before, so they go when I find them.

Cool threads. I wonder If this is the reason I don't have any limpets in my DT. My fuge and sump filled with limpets. I am skeptical because I found him in the fuge with the limpets. I don't keep snails in the fuge or sump. But have 5 turbos in DT.
