Getting Out of the Hobby Sale

Bittersweet news; with the recent funding changes I knew our contract was in jeapordy come June 2013. Based on this I started searching for another position, but hiring in this area has been frozen in the IT/Project Officer market. I've found a job outside of the state and will need to start preparign for the move. In response to this, I am breaking down my 20 gallon DT / 20 gallon Sump Mantis tank.

 

I will need to sell the live stock before I can move the hardware.

Omair, I noticed the small tubes coming out of your pvc plumbing. Is that setup for noise reduction? Does it work very well? What are the chances of water coming out of the small tubes? Thanks

those small tubes are siphon breaks. All the glass-holes devices use them. They are generally pointed above the water line and leakage is rare but can happen (just a little)

Yep. No leaks for me. When I first broke them in I had very slight leakage but now it's super silent - no bubbles in my sump. Very effective.
