NAGA March 11, 2013 March 11, 2013 Monkiboy I have an idea for you, if you are going to build a new stand and all. Why don't you lay it over on its front and make it 85" L x 32" W x 24" tall unless there is a structural difference in the way the tank was built, that prevents orienting it that way. You would only have to buy a pice of low iron glass that's 85" L x 24" W. A whole other list of issues with this Six-Line. Not the way to go. This tank is only worth it if it becomes a terrarium. Even for myself (and I build glass tanks professionally) it's not worth it. To do a total re-seal after getting apart (and that's if you do not damage it taking it apart) isn't worth the time/labor.

zygote2k March 11, 2013 March 11, 2013 If you got the tank for free and you had some spare time, it would be worth it to completely re-do all of the panels. With all the forseeable issues, it's not worth it if you have to pay actual money for it.

NAGA March 12, 2013 March 12, 2013 I agree with what Rob said as well. If free, and some spare time it would indeed be worth while to do. Often I do see these tanks listed as free. Eventually you'll find one.

I wounder if sheet PVC grooved and sealed used as a bottom would work. I have heard of new tanks made this way. Is this correct ? That would be a Nice DD project.
