16 T5's seem reasonable on a tank that is ~3.5 feet front to back. Can't argue with the results for sure.

Bulb cost is what pops out to me. $22*16=$352/year in bulb costs. I guess if he can afford a tank that big, he can afford the bulbs.

Grass always seems greener on the other side lol. The shimmer adds a nice touch....id gladly take your radions lol

Reading his issues with sand beds reminds me of why I prefer a bare bottom. I like the reef structure he made! I'll be doing that on the next tank.

samoa pink sand is the same that i have in my tank. wonderful.

It wasn't wonderful for him. His first and second tanks had to be torn down because of sand bed issues. He went with a solid faux bottom on this tank.
