Regarding pictures: You can either post to your WAMAS gallery and link to it, or use something like photobucket and link to that. That's the way most of us insert decent pictures in our posts. If you try to upload directly into the post, you run out of room very quickly. I can't remember off hand how much space we have for this sort of attachment, but it's not much.
