BowieReefer84 March 30, 2012 Author March 30, 2012 (edited) I could easily X the clown off the list. Not set on that. I do want a purple fish though... For the wife NOT the ravens. What about a large sand sifting goby. I have seen the orange dotted ones around 4-5", and they are really fun. Obviously this would only be if I decided to add sand to the tank. BowieReefer84 April 4, 2012 Author April 4, 2012 Don't be a trouble maker Ryan. That baby blueline would be a beast in only a short time I am sure. Here is my tweeked list for now: 1. Blue Throat Trigger 2. Dog Face Puffer 3. Aussie Har Tusk 4. Auriga Butterfly 5. Fireball Angel 6. Kole Tang 7. Purple fish to be determined... The top 4 are definates more or less with room for adjustment on the rest.
smallreef April 4, 2012 April 4, 2012 the blue throat is nice.... but have you thought about a crosshatch trigger instead other than that the list sounds fairly good...

roni April 5, 2012 April 5, 2012 Ok seriously... These dottybacks look awesome. I know the one isnt purple, but it is beautiful. I think p. dutoiti (2nd pic) is one of the most underrated fish in the hobby. Cheap, hardy, smart. Mean as H-E-double hockey sticks. My buddy had one that would attack anything that was put into the tank. He managed to catch it and had it in his sump. While out of town, the power went out and everything died except for the dutoiti, which had jumped from the compartment in the sump he was in into the other compartment. I had one and was breaking down my tank. Couldn't find it despite looking over every piece of rock thoroughly. Had the rock out of water for a few hours while I moved things over and also scrubbed off some bubble algae. Put the rock back in and the dutoiti popped out after a couple hours like nothing ever happened.
smallreef April 6, 2012 April 6, 2012 Im agreeing with you with the dottyback... had one in my trigger tank that ruled till the triggers got big enough to eat him, lol (took about 4 years of him harrassing them almost daily) another good one is the black cap basslet...and chalk bass' have some purple in their body... BRK had some small ones last week when I was there....
BowieReefer84 April 12, 2012 Author April 12, 2012 Would a urchin be safe in this tank? Would a trigger pick on it?
smallreef April 13, 2012 April 13, 2012 if the triggers can figure out how to flip it over,,,, its dead, lol I went through about 3 in 5 years.. they dont figure it our quickly,,, but they do figure it out...
