Jim March 6, 2012 March 6, 2012 Beautiful tank. I've been thinking about setting up a vertical ATS for some time. Seems like a good concept that would allow me to feed more without worrying about daily carbon dosing.
Coral Hind March 6, 2012 March 6, 2012 I like the size of the tank. Being able to not run the lights for 8 months would be nice.
dave w March 6, 2012 March 6, 2012 That alglae scrubber looks to be about 4 feet by 4 feet. I think his idea to place it at a 45 degree angle is a great one. It's hard to get strong wave action without lots of salt creep on horizontal scrubbers and the vertical scrubbers don't get as much contact as they need, in my opinion. His water seems incredible clean and has that blue tint of ultra low nutrients.
zygote2k March 7, 2012 March 7, 2012 It's a neat tank, but it's way too complex and there are so many things that could go wrong and wreak havoc. I'd like to see a tank like that that doesn't need protein skimmers. That will impress me.
Chad March 9, 2012 March 9, 2012 Largest algae scrubber I've ever seen! When I read this, I thought it would be reefski's tank I think the tank is interesting. I like seeing slightly off-norm experimenters. Natural sunlight and turf scrubber is cool.
