Glenn February 10, 2012 Share February 10, 2012 Near the end last year, I was part of a Group Buy for ricordias. I added a bright red discosoma to my order and when I received it, it was attached to a small sea shell. For weeks it comfortably sat in a small depression on a piece of barnacle. Tuesday I noticed that it was gone and I saw no indications of it on the gravel below the barnacle. Yesterday, I saw it MOVING up the rockwork. I guess one of my hermit crabs liked the mushroom's shell better than its old shell. I now have a red discosoma roaming my tank.

Glenn February 10, 2012 Author Share February 10, 2012 color/size, they were all great .. but they won't stay still .. over half of them are still in my pico tank, looking for a 'home'. The ones that I moved to the main tank are less active, but still moving around.
Origami February 10, 2012 Share February 10, 2012 It's like a little red parasol (umbrella). The lights must be very bright in your tank that the crab thinks he needs a sunshade.
beatle February 11, 2012 Share February 11, 2012 I have a similar scenario, but it's a Kenya tree growing off a snail.
