I couldn't resist so I took a chance and ordered 3 maxi mini anemones from Petco online. Wow, the colors are amazing; orange, burgundy, green and gold. The price is right at $24.99/ea. They also have a 14 day guarantee. I ordered sexy shrimp too but they didn't make it. Petco honored their 14 day guarantee, no questions asked, and allowed me to order 3 more maxi minis on the free shipping. The maxi minis came directly from their distributor in California very well packed.

Sounds like it worked out well. I'm hesitant to buy from Petco in store, and almost wonder if you get better quality with an online purchase. They also have better prices online than in the stores, which I find odd.

I asked petco retail why is that, they told me cause Petco retail and Petco Online are two different entities... basically, they are two different companies in a way... and if you look closely at the fish/inverts/corals, it says where they are shipping from.

I have done the same thing at the Petco in Alexandria at Potomac Yards.

 

Petco seems to be doing a good job of harmonizing brick-and-mortar storefronts with online sales. It is nice to see.
