Oh, fudge - I screwed up this time!

I accidentally pushed the wrong 'reset' button on my AC-III. I'm guessing I've lost all of my programming. I meant to push 'network reset'.

FIRST problem - if I want a 4-character userid or password, how do I END the userid input? i.e. - if I want 'abcd' for my userid, I can put in a, b, c, d... but then it wants me to choose another letter. There doesn't seem to be a 'okay, that's all I want' selection. I know I did it before, but now I can't figure it out.

Any assistance??

Thanks,

bob

Okay... figured that out - push UP and DOWN together, then 'select'.

And yes... all of my programming is gone. And I have 3 outlet boxes... 5 sets of lights... and no written record of which outlet is for what. Sigh...

I think there's a lesson there.

I think one of the characters you can scroll through is the space character, and you can make that the 5th+ "letter" of your password. My password is only 4 characters, and I'm pretty sure that's how I did it.

Don't know if you can open up your program editor via your router like I can but

this is my programing. If you can, it might be helpful to c&p into the editor.

I also run 3 dc*8's with 5 mh lights and 3 sets of 03's.

If I modify my programs, I save a copy before closing and keep a copy on my computer, just for instances like you are now enjoying.

Thanks, Chip - I saved it as a 'sample'.

Naturally all of our switches have different names, etc.

I just started simple, and added a bit of this and that over the years. In 3 years of having an AC-III this is the first time I've lost my programming. I'll be ready for the next time! :)

Sounds like a perfect time to upgrade to an Apex!

That's an upgrade? :)

Lights all programmed, and starting to come on now.
