Quantum Aquaria April 19, 2011 April 19, 2011 not sure what's going on, but I've noticed a whole bunch of ladybugs and baby ladybugs all over my sump. At first, thought they were baby snails, but after careful inspection, they are ladybugs. Anyone have this problem and now how to deal with it. Obviously, they are a number dead ones floating in the sump which i'm worried may affect the water of the tank.
FearTheTerps April 19, 2011 April 19, 2011 Had tons of stink bugs before, but never ladybugs. I would scoop out all you can, but I dont think they will pose a problem
Jon Lazar April 19, 2011 April 19, 2011 I get ladybugs in my lights all the time, and they often fall into the tank. The bodies usually decompose quickly, but those cute little wings last a long time. I just scoop them out with a net when I see them.
Quantum Aquaria April 19, 2011 Author April 19, 2011 ok. we'll, at least i know i'm not the only one. just very unsightly.
OUsnakebyte April 19, 2011 April 19, 2011 My mystery wrasse snaps at them, and the stink bugs, from the top of the water. Bug gets pulled down and ripped apart by all the other fish wanting a piece... Invert food...
Quantum Aquaria April 20, 2011 Author April 20, 2011 maybe i should get a wrasse for the sump to eat them all up...
