LindseyV March 22, 2011 March 22, 2011 Can someone recommend a company that does in-home visits for help with SW tanks? I am located in Falls Church. Thanks!
dbartco March 22, 2011 March 22, 2011 Check out our sponsors, Reef Escapes, Marine Scene, and (maybe?) F&F do maintanence and are in your area. Not sure if Petland does any maintanece.

Origami March 22, 2011 March 22, 2011 LOL. Both zygote and saltwaterworx are in this business, too. Drop either or both a line. I'm sure they'd love the opportunity to you out. Also, this is a pretty helpful community. Are there specific questions that you have that we might be able to address?
LindseyV March 22, 2011 Author March 22, 2011 I've had a tank running for about a year and a half now, and have had one problem after another. I've had FW tanks since childhood, and this is my first SW tank. The water parameters are perfect, my inverts and zooanthids are perfect, but I can't keep a fish alive for more than 2 weeks. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong (or not doing, which is just as wrong) and I need someone to come and look at my setup and help me out. I don't even want to think about how much money I've spent on fish in the last year.
Origami March 22, 2011 March 22, 2011 Lindsey, what symptoms do the fish exhibit when they begin failing? How do you mix up your saltwater? What are your parameters ("perfect" is good, I'm just looking for specific numbers for salinity, temperature, ammonia, nitrite, and nitrates). How soon before the fish start exhibiting symptoms? Do they all seem to fail the same way? Where are you getting the fish? What kind of fish are they? How large is your tank?
