FearTheTerps March 2, 2011 Share March 2, 2011 Very Nice, I like the caps as well. How big is the tank and how big are the caps? They look huge, do you ever trim them back from blocking the light for stuff below?
trockafella March 3, 2011 Author Share March 3, 2011 Thanks Everyone, its greatly appreciated.. I love the monti caps as well, as if you didnt notice. The large green cap is around 14-16" across at its longest point. It actually got so long and flat because it originally was up in the corner on the overflow, where there is a still a large piece. It was so high up that it grew flat across and had to be moved down. It has grown that size in about 18 months from a small 2"x2" rescue frag. Not bad for a coral I got on its death bed. Its not fancy or crazy colored polyps, but its size and now its growth pattern have made it a true favorite. Jon, couldnt agree more on the coco worm, its a very photogenic creature, and very pretty as well. Especially up close.! The tank is a 72 gallon bowfront with Finnex 4 x 54w T5/ LED light system. Its actually a very basic system, but after many mistakes (and help from some good wamas friends) it has become very effiecent, and growing in well.. I finally feel satisfied with where im at and ready to watch it fill in, which we all know is easier said than done.
