angel not fish December 18, 2010 December 18, 2010 I got the road because I just don't wanted to order online, because the Japanese zoa that I order months ago, came trashed by red bugs (and red bugs IN it). Almost all off that pac died in 2 days. Getting at the store, the lights was out, because the guy just don't want me looking at the corals, he sad its just for online costumers. I sad, so let me use your computer to order what I am looking (?) The guy sad no. Do you have to call someone at your home to do the order online and do you get here. MR CORAL WANT TO KEEP THE CORALS IN THE COMPUTERS - NOT IN THE COSTUMERS TANKS.
L8 2 RISE December 18, 2010 December 18, 2010 The lights were off over all of the bins? Also, zoa's can't get red bugs...
NamReefs December 18, 2010 December 18, 2010 i and my four other reefer went there last time and also have same problem. they say only online customer i cant order in store. so we have to go home with empty hand.
angel not fish December 19, 2010 Author December 19, 2010 I ve there today and just 2 bins was with lights and I think was red bugs or may be acropora bug (very small ant). Other wamas member got the same problem with his corals from there.
flowerseller December 19, 2010 December 19, 2010 you saying you can't order online for in store pick up?
mrcoral.com December 19, 2010 December 19, 2010 1st of all Zoas can't have Red Bugs. 2nd you can come on in and I can tell you there is not one pest on my sps I dip and dip trust me on that. Before you start saying things make sure you have your facts correct. I was not there today but I assumed you are talking about the Internet tubs lights were off. All those are orders to be shipped next week. If you want to order online of course you can and pick up. Not sure what you are saying just does not make sense.
mrcoral.com December 19, 2010 December 19, 2010 What you need to do to order online is log into mrcoral.com and order. If you are picking up mark in store pickup and give us a call before you come so they can have the order pulled for you just in case we are busy. Very very very simple. Not sure how to explain it better.
losking44 December 19, 2010 December 19, 2010 mr coral , can you get everything thats on the site , in the store?
gwweber December 19, 2010 December 19, 2010 (edited) I like your store and you are pretty close to me. BUT--- when I go to the store and see things i like and cant buy them because I have to buy online i go home empty handed. I understand that as you are 25 mins from me i am an exception to the rule rather then the norm, just keep in mind that people that walk in your store feel that they are not being fairly treated as the selection in your internet tanks are far greater. Also, your pics do not show the true colors in a lot of instances and that may hurt your sales. I have had positive experiences with you guys, but feel screwed when I walk in and cant buy items that are reserved for the internet buyers. Edited December 19, 2010 by gwweber

I have had positive experiences with you guys, but feel screwed when I walk in and cant buy items that are reserved for the internet buyers. Is sounds like they are reserved because they are already sold and waiting to be shipped out. Is this not correct? Maybe an easy fix is to put the reserved frags in the back where customers can't see them and get confused about what is available. On a side note, dips don't kill 100% of the red bugs. The only thing that will 100% kill reds is Interceptor after several treatments.
mrcoral.com December 19, 2010 December 19, 2010 Yes, everything online can be bought in the store. But you have to understand that we sell 100 to 150 items a day online. So if you come in and see corals in the internet tubs most of the time they are sold. If you see a item you got to have I would suggest you order online then come on in a pick up or I can ship for free. Not sure what else you would like me to do on that one. If I had more room I guess I could hide the sold items that is why the lights were not on that tub. Also, I would say about 90% of the time if you see something and it is sold we have more you just have to ask.
angel not fish December 19, 2010 Author December 19, 2010 Well, just here, you can see 3 costumers that walk in and came back home with empty hands (frustrated)
mrcoral.com December 19, 2010 December 19, 2010 Why did you not order online? Sorry to hear about that and sorry I was not there. Next time you make the trip I will add in a freebie for you. Please if you see it online and have to have it order it. I do ship for free also for Wamas Members. We have 2 tubs full right now for retail customer with a 3rd one coming. So we will have 18 feet of $10 frags.
JpNuss December 19, 2010 December 19, 2010 Why should going to the source, hurt the chances of picking up something nice at MrCoral? After "angel not fish"s dismay, you continue to ask them why they didn't order online. What does that matter? Are you an internet only retailer?
hypertech December 19, 2010 December 19, 2010 What it sounds like Mr Coral is saying is that many of those items have already been sold on the internet. If you see something you want online, buy it that way and pick it up. Otherwise, it might be sold by the time you see it and you can't have it then. It didn't sound like he was saying you could not buy things in the store that had not already been sold. I've never been to his store though.....

If you see it and you want to make sure you get that WYSIWYG item order in online. If you want to take the chance and come on in it could be gone. In the last 3 hours we have sold 72 Frags. This is why I say order it if you see it. Take advantage of the deals I'm even offering you free shipping over $50 and another freebie I can't do much else guys. If you have any other questions let me know. I will be updating for the next few hours.
gwweber December 19, 2010 December 19, 2010 I do not buy the items online because I like to look at them first and see the real colors. Ofter your pics are not well lit and I cant really tell what the items look like. I have picked out numerous items online several times and just logged off cause I dont like the pics. Anyone else agree?
mrcoral.com December 19, 2010 December 19, 2010 (edited) Well I'm doing the best I can and loading right now. If you don't like the pics I would log off and not order that is for sure. I put a ton of effort to put WYSIWYG get pics for $10 frags so everyone knows what they are getting. Not a photographer but I can tell you most of the time they look even better in person. Sometimes I get the Blue from the tubs but like I said I'm doing the best I can. Edited December 19, 2010 by mrcoral.com

Anyone else agree? so basically all we're trying to do here is argue. the same coral in my tank can and will likely color up and grow somewhat different in your tank. You live close enough to see something on line and then in the store, get a baseline, grab up some good deals. Anytime someone buys a frag "seen" here from any other member, same chance as far as color, size, survival. ANYONE NOT DIPPING ANYTHING FROM ANYONE IS THE ONE AT FAULT, NOT THE SELLER. MC's a great guy to bash because sometimes you can get him to bite back, if that's the kind banter and what not that you enjoy, have at it, just keep it factual.
gwweber December 19, 2010 December 19, 2010 (edited) Hmmm I'm divorced, live with my girlfriend work at a large company doing computer hardware support and have a 14 year old son. Dont need to argue in the one area of my life that is peacefull. Thks for making the point Think ill go to MC Today, i do love the place Edited December 19, 2010 by gwweber

Unfortunately yes, the guy sad I can not pick anything from the "good section" because was for online costumers only. So I ask to use his computer to order at his store and he answer no. LOOK LIKE HE IS A ONLINE RETAILER
gtipower December 19, 2010 December 19, 2010 I ve there today and just 2 bins was with lights and I think was red bugs or may be acropora bug (very small ant). Other wamas member got the same problem with his corals from there. First, I was there yesterday (Sat.) and ALL but 2 tubs had their lights on. And those were their online only tubs. So lets get the facts correct. I had placed an online order which they had already pulled for me. When I asked them about a frag I wanted from online, they told me they had an extra one but it was a "Limit 1" coral so I need to follow the rules for that. I proceded to purchase 3 more non-limit 1s from their tubs (which was not hard since they always have alot), got my Limit 1 and finished my purchase. Easy as that. In fact, when I was there, someone had called the store and I heard the employee tell them to order things online and pick up because there might be some frags they were interested in that are not available in store. I'm not sure if it was "angel not fish", but he was honest about it and not trying to disguise anything. Look, even retail giants like Target, Walmart, and Bestbuy have Online Only things and Online Only prices. On another trip, I've seen a customer unhappy because they thought they could walk in and buy 5 "limit 1" acans and break the rules. Then I'm sure they go and post something bad about the store. Their rules are simple. The store sells $10 acan/chalice/SPS frags(amongst others). There's even FREE SHIPPING. I have always been a satisfied customer from there. Trouble is, most of the time, even if you have 9 out of 10 customers happy, only that 1 unhappy customer will say something.
DaveS December 19, 2010 December 19, 2010 Trouble is, most of the time, even if you have 9 out of 10 customers happy, only that 1 unhappy customer will say something. Unhappy customers will happen in every business. It's how you treat them and what you do afterward that makes the difference between if/what they say. If I have a problem but I see the vendor working with me and doing what they can to correct the source of the problem, I'm perfectly happy as it shows regret for the problem and a willingness to prevent it in the future. If I see a vendor that still doesn't refund my money, acts like it's the buyer fault or isn't interested in keeping the problems from occuring again in the future, I feel differently. Not sure what you are saying just does not make sense. Not sure how to explain it better. ...you just have to ask.
