ok so i have a 40g breeder with approx 15g in my sump... what would be a good rate to set a doser to? how many ml/hr?

no problem i'd just set it to your evap rate and then check ca/alk and adjust accordingly.

I ran my lightly stocked 120 at 22ml/day. Depending on your stock level, I would start lower than that, maybe 15, and see where you end up after a day or so then adjust.

Agreed, but test your alk levels to ensure that they don't get too high (I personally wouldn't go above 12, but if you dose a carbon source, you may want to keep alk below 9). If alk climbs too high, it's an indication that your consumption is too low and you may have to set dose less.
