Moving... everything must go :(

Unfortunately, the time has come - I will be moving overseas for my job for a period of time, and can't bring my tank with me. I knew this day would come, but it doesn't make it any easier.

For photos of my tank, please see my tank thread

First off, please contact me if you're interested in buying the whole setup, or major portions of it. I will offer a decent discount. I don't have to sell right away, so please don't try to lowball me because of a bad situation. This isn't about the money (what hobby is?), it's about finding the best match for my critters.

To avoid crowding this thread too much, please PM me!

**HARDWARE**

Item #1: 72 gallon bowfront tank with black stand and cap, and 20 gallon 'fuge underneath. Includes live sand, hermits and snails, plumbing, a heater, a return pump, a Home Depot indoor/outdoor digital timer, a plastic mat to put under the tank (to avoid carpet stains!), PVC glue and PVC cutters.

$225

Item #2: Modded Octopus skimmer

$100

Item #3: Two-switch auto topoff system. Well built, and you get peace of mind that no flooding will occur with the second switch.

$30

Item #4: 20-30(?) gallon long-form tank

A bit distressed - free to a good home

$0

Item #5: RO filter with DI refillable attachment from WAMAS group buy - probably will need a replacement of the filter and DI material in the next year

$30

Item #6: Three-light (fourth circuit died) 48' T5 system with moonlights - works, but occasionally needs some TLC.

$40

**LIVE ROCK**

110 lbs of live rock. Some pieces are covered in anthelia, a couple pieces have some Kenya tree growing on them, one piece has been significantly grown over by a frag of hard green coral. I will not reserve individual pieces, so unless someone buys the whole batch, it's in your best interests to get here first.

$2.50/lb, or $200 even for all of it.

**CORALS**

Item #1: 10+ Headed green frogspawn from DaveS's tank

$30

Item #2: Half-dome brain coral from AQUACO

$30

Item #3: Kenya tree colony. This thing is ridiculously large and is constantly self-amputating to spread new colonies because it has outgrown its isolated rock

$20

Item #4: Duncan colony. Started as a one-headed AQUACO special and is now 6-7 heads

$15

Item #5: 2 Galaxia frags from my first WAMAS meet - free to anyone who wants them

$0

**FISH**

Item #1: Large, fat n' happy yellow tang - he was the whole reason I started this hobby and I am torn up over having to get rid of him. I would like to know that he's going to a good home. If I've met you in person and are interested in this fish, please PM me and I will give him to you for free, and all I ask in return is the privilege of e-mailing you once or twice a year to get a photo of him. He eats mysis, pellets, flakes, sushi seaweed, and will begrudgingly pick at green hair algae from time to time.

If no interest from my personal friends, will sell for $30.

Item #2: Dwarf pygmy angel - blue with a yellow face

$20

Because of my work schedule, all pickups will need to be Friday-Sunday.

Additionally, because of some back issues that have developed in my ripe age of 26, I will not be able to assist you with carrying out the tank. Please plan on having two able-bodied individuals and a truck or large minivan. I was able to fit the tank (albeit in pieces) in a Honda minivan.

Please note I live in Lovettsville. That's almost certainly a good distance from where you are, unless you live around Leesburg/Ashburn/Frederick/Charlestown.

Keeping or selling the house?

Keeping. The housing will be taken care of on the trip, so it's a net even to me. Hopefully the market will be better when I'm back and I can move to Ashburn or something.

Sorry to see you leave but you are about to make some great memories working overseas. Also, you forgot the price on the duncan.

Oop, sorry... um, $15?

Thanks for the interest, everyone!

So far, I've had a couple of offers for the ATO and fish, and one for the rock. As you guys know, catching fish with rock in is next to impossible, and I'd like to keep the ATO until I've at least gotten rid of the fish and rock.

Someone offered to come get the rock on September 15. For those of you who are interested in the fish/ATO, we probably won't be able to do business until that occurs. I will try to PM those who made serious inquiries with this information.

And if you know anyone who wants 100+ lbs of rock, please let me know . You'll get your stuff sooner!

Hey this is Dewey. Sorry to hear your breaking down tank. I can take some off your hands. Where are you located?

Rock is gone, thanks to Sam's neighbor.

Right now, the ATO, fish, and frogspawn are spoken for. I still don't have anyone lined up for the tank or skimmer. I'm going to give it a couple more days and then Craigslist it... I'll throw in the light and tank/stand setup as described above for $225, meaning you get the light free. Act now - operators are standing by!

TheWire,

Sorry, I haven't come up with a date yet... I had to leave work early this week because some knucklehead rear-ended me on MD-32 and I've had to shuffle cars around. Next week will work better, as it's not a holiday week and I hopefully won't get hit again

Tank is gone... well, except the sand. The new owner didn't want it, so to anyone who wants some live sand, I'm selling mine for $15. I don't know how much there is, but it covered about three inches in my tank, and it's almost two IO salt buckets worth of sand.
