Jon Lazar March 29, 2010 Share March 29, 2010 I am thinking to get a cucumber, but I am afraid it can poison the tank. Anyone has a experience to share ? I had tiger tail cucumbers for years in my reef, and never had any problems. I don't advise you eat it, though.

Jan March 29, 2010 Share March 29, 2010 I had one for months. It never exploded. I gave it to Travis because I got a lobster and I was concerend that the lobster would make the cuc spill it's guts out. Tom has/had one too, I think. I am thinking to get a cucumber, but I am afraid it can poison the tank. Anyone has a experience to share ?
Origami March 29, 2010 Share March 29, 2010 I've got two and have not had problems. Some varieties are great sand-sifters. It pays to read up on them, though, just like any livestock.
Stu March 29, 2010 Share March 29, 2010 I have a regular brown one, which is a sand sifter/eat-and-pooper and a pink and yellow one that feeds a lot like a feather duster. Never had a problem with either.
