onux20 November 24, 2011 Author Share November 24, 2011 Lost my PBT last week to Ich. I did leave town for a few days and my wife did not feed the tank while I was gone. That, and the Scopas, probably stressed him and let the parasite take hold. A little surprised since I use a UV sterilizer
RJT November 24, 2011 Share November 24, 2011 I don't know anything about BA, but this may help with the absentee feeding... http://www.tbaquatics.com/eheim-everyday-automatic-fish-feeder-1052.html
onux20 November 24, 2011 Author Share November 24, 2011 I don't know anything about BA, but this may help with the absentee feeding... http://www.tbaquatics.com/eheim-everyday-automatic-fish-feeder-1052.html I actually have one. Just got a fabricated mount from a gracious WAMASer. Need one more piece of PVC in order to bring it online. Thanks for the advice though. roni November 25, 2011 Share November 25, 2011 Red Sea sailfin tang. They are voracious BA eaters. I've had mixed results with mithrax crabs but they do a decent job as well.
onux20 December 21, 2011 Author Share December 21, 2011 Holy Crap! I had a different commute today so I was up earlier than normal. As I have done in the past, I went down and turned off the return pump and fed oyster feast for to the tank then went back up stairs to get ready for work. Done this in the past no problems. However, since I had to be at the van pool earlier than normal, I was rushing out the door. You can guess where this is going. Since the sump room is off of the garage, habit is to check to sump when I get home from work. (The same for the morning

zygote2k December 21, 2011 Share December 21, 2011 Thanks. It really is my pride and joy. Thanks for not noticiing ANYHTING else! I noticed the mis-spelled "Anyhting" seriously though- if you've tried every known thing that supposedly eats valonia and it doesn't work, you can always do what I recommended to you a while back... take out each rock and scrub it till all of the BA is gone. onux20 February 9, 2013 Author Share February 9, 2013 Trock, I have witnessed nips at ricordia, shrooms and birdsnest. Was hoping it found a taste for the shrooms but noooooo! Nothing that has produced any noticable impacts.
