zygote2k August 24, 2009 Share August 24, 2009 You need to have the correct male plugs on your end to fit the receptacles on the ballast.

Origami August 24, 2009 Share August 24, 2009 (edited) You may want to Google "lamp cord bluewave 7 ballast" and find a cord that way. You'll find several options. Here's an example: http://www.aquacave.com/15-ft-lamp-cord-fo...lasts-1795.html Edited August 24, 2009 by Origami2547
Quantum Aquaria August 25, 2009 Share August 25, 2009 can you take a picture of what you have... ballast, wire, bulb, pendant or mogul socket you are trying to connect to? That would make it easier for folks to visualize to provide suggestions.

Quantum Aquaria August 25, 2009 Share August 25, 2009 i don't see a picture of the wires. Did you receive the 2 quick disconnect cables that came with the ballast? if not, then you'll need to order 2 of the quick disconnect cables that Tom mentioned above

Quantum Aquaria August 25, 2009 Share August 25, 2009 i would contact whomever you purchased from and tell them that the quick disconnect cords to connect to the metal halide are missing and that all you received was the power cable for the ballast itself. Sikryd August 25, 2009 Share August 25, 2009 (edited) You may want to Google "lamp cord bluewave 7 ballast" and find a cord that way. You'll find several options. Here's an example: http://www.aquacave.com/15-ft-lamp-cord-fo...lasts-1795.html Like he showed above - you either have to buy the same ballast that came with your fixture, or from the same company, or buy the wires listed above and re-wire your light. Or option C: and re-wire your ballast. It sounds like you will be doing option A Returning the ballast and buying the same brand one as your lights so it plugs right in. What light fixture do you have? Edited August 25, 2009 by Sikryd

John August 25, 2009 Share August 25, 2009 Well, if you own a reflector, you may need to get a new socket/cord, something like this: http://www.thatpetplace.com/pet/product/po...hatPetPlace.com If you feel comfortable with electricity you can do as Origami2547 suggested and just replace the cord on your current socket/reflector. Nonetheless, I am not familiar with your ballast or your other equipment, so I can be of no more help.
John August 25, 2009 Share August 25, 2009 Obviously, if you're running double-ended MH bulbs the mogul socket/cord link I just posted would NOT be applicable.
