Larry Grenier February 14, 2009 February 14, 2009 Oh......... you thought I meant........ ha ha, no not that Sump & frag tank already up-n-running in the basement. More to come.
treesprite February 14, 2009 February 14, 2009 Nice. I'm glad there was no disaster of tanks through the floor.
zoozilla February 14, 2009 February 14, 2009 Heart-stopping headline there, Larry What type of pump are you going to use to get water from the Basement to the Main tank?
astroboy February 14, 2009 February 14, 2009 Actually, Has anyone ever heard of an actual case where a tank came thru a floor/ceiling? Or is that more or less an urban myth??
Larry Grenier February 15, 2009 Author February 15, 2009 (edited) I'll post pics soon but the sump in the basement below is up-high less than a foot from the ceiling just below the diplay tank upstairs. It only contains a skimmer and a Mag 9 for a return. It has a bulkhead in it to overflow into a frag tank and fuge below. It took me a while to come-up with the nerve to drill holes thru my new hardwood floor but I finally did it. Never really heard of a tank actually crashing through a floor due to weight but it's a scarry thought and I bet my title conjured-up a scarry image Edited February 15, 2009 by Larry Grenier
