treesprite January 10, 2009 January 10, 2009 I have read a few times bout people dicing up shrooms or putting shrooms in a blender and having tons of new shrooms spring up, so I decided to try mutilating a green striped shroom into very tiny bits and am waiting to see if it really works very well.
extreme_tooth_decay January 11, 2009 January 11, 2009 I've always wanted to try this. How did you mutilate it?
lanman January 11, 2009 January 11, 2009 I've always wanted to try this. How did you mutilate it? Are you sure you want to know? Forrest - you just didn't seem like the mutilating type!! bob
extreme_tooth_decay January 12, 2009 January 12, 2009 I used a razor blade. How anticlimactic! I had visions of cuisinarts, lawn mowers, liquid nitrogen+hammer, those guys who chop up food at japanese steak houses...
fosterspike January 19, 2009 January 19, 2009 im intrested to see how this turns out, i could buy one shroom and have them all over my tank!
treesprite February 1, 2009 Author February 1, 2009 (edited) Oops, forgot about this thread. I'm going to have to start over and put the bits somewhere other than the refugium.... it seemed like a good idea to put them in there at the time. I got some fresh razor blades yesterday just for this purpose. I might try one of these rhodactis mushrooms at some point: They are very fleshy and cutting up a large one was completely disgusting. They don't seem to care how badly butchered the cutting is, so it's a matter of how small is too small for the pieces. Before I do any of this I have to find out where the leak is....
