rsarvis December 14, 2008 December 14, 2008 who uses T5 lights other than aquarists, and how important is PAR to them? or put another way, is there any reason to look for people who might have a use for these old t5 bulbs that i'm swapping out today?

reefmontalvo December 15, 2008 December 15, 2008 Save a set in the event you have a bulb that breaks. I keep a T-5 set in the closet just in case. Other than that you could use them for hydroponics.

zygote2k December 15, 2008 December 15, 2008 Ask Flowerseller if old bulbs can be used to grow terrestrial plants. If I remember correctly, they need light in the red and green spectrums for vegetative and flowering growth. HPS seems to be a good bulb for plants.
