Smoothtriqueter November 12, 2008 November 12, 2008 The center seems to be hard and the part around it sort of flaps in the current. What could this be?
Smoothtriqueter November 12, 2008 Author November 12, 2008 ok it has moved now. is it a flatworm? please say no.
Kevin Garrison November 12, 2008 November 12, 2008 It's not flatworms, almost looks like a small mushroom of some sort, but I've never seen one like it.

zygote2k November 12, 2008 November 12, 2008 Looks like a limpet or a cowrie of some sort. The hard part is the shell and the soft part is the mantle.

mogurnda November 12, 2008 November 12, 2008 Orange fleshy limpet. Mostly grazes, but their tastes can be broad. I have not seen one go after a coral, though.
Smoothtriqueter November 12, 2008 Author November 12, 2008 OK that is exactly what it is and now I am happy. I was thinking the worst! Thanks everyone!
