onyx October 31, 2008 October 31, 2008 (edited) Hello WAMAS, We are new to this site and thought I would introduce myself and say hello. I've been keeping SW tanks for awhile now and just recently in the last few years have gotten my gf addicted to this hobby. That's been both a blessing and a curse - she seems to have the SW bug worse then I do lately. I started keeping SW over a decade ago with a 40g breeder setup. Relying solely on LFS advice, needless to say it was a disaster. Since then I've had quite a few tanks.. including a 75g reef, 90g reef & 90g FOWLR. Currently we have an Oceanic Tech Series 120g Reef and two Oceanic Biocube 8g systems. My gf got me into the nanos and I have to admit I love having one of my desk next to my computer. Info on my Tech 120: Oceanic Tech Series 120g Reef w/Starboard BB 2x 150w Phoenix 14k MH w/Reef Optix III 4 x NanoStream 6045s - 40x Turnover 29g Sump w/ASM G3 Skimmer Inhabitants: Powder Blue Tang Mated Pair of Black Percs Lyretail Anthias Yellow Coris Wrasse Mandarin Fire Shrimp Misc Hermits & Snails Corals: RBTA 2 x Frogspawn x Hammer Watermellon Zoas Bam Bam Zoas Fire & Ice Zoas Cotton Candy Zoas Pink Zoas Teal & Blue Zoas Green Moon Palys 2 x Orange Caps Open Brain Pulsating Xenias Pink Birdsnest Teal Acro Orange, Blue & Purple Ricordeas Blue Candy Cane FTS A lot of the clutter on the bottom has been removed and coraline has pretty much taken over the starboard. The tank has been running since March when we moved into our new home. Thanks for checking out our tank. Edited October 31, 2008 by onyx
amay121 October 31, 2008 October 31, 2008 Welcome to the boards. Suggestion, join the club. It's cheap enough and you'll get your return on membership fees in no time. Great looking tank and once again, welcome.
onux20 October 31, 2008 October 31, 2008 When I signed up for WAMAS way back when, they said 'onyx' was taken! :( Now I have two reasons to be jealous, your screen name and your tank!! Welcome aboard. Ron
trockafella October 31, 2008 October 31, 2008 Welcome, gotta say i love the tank, looks great..!!!! Happy reefing to you..!!!!
rioreef October 31, 2008 October 31, 2008 Welcome. As was said. Join the club, it is worth every penny.
MisterTang October 31, 2008 October 31, 2008 Yes, the cost of membership is fairly inconsequential compared to how much money you'll burn through once you can see our selling and trading forums
extreme_tooth_decay October 31, 2008 October 31, 2008 When I signed up for WAMAS way back when, they said 'onyx' was taken! :( Strangely I did not have that problem

onyx October 31, 2008 Author October 31, 2008 Thanks everyone for the warm welcome and all of the nice replies. I am going to look into joining the club. I have met several people from here before and they had nothing but good things to say about WAMAS. Though access to the Classified section might be a dangerous thing for us.
