EDITED TO INCLUDE PICTURES AS OF 10/20/2008

I moved to Texas at the beginning of August. When I did, I sold off most of my fish and equipment. I had a 120g running in Texas at my fiancee's place. I have finally moved the tank to my new house and hooked up all of my other equipment. I added my rock and got my fish in there and doing well.

My current fish stocking is as follows:

1 x Porcupine Puffer

1 x Picasso Trigger

1 x Yellow Tang

1 x Vlamingi Tang

1 x Brown Bird Wrasse

1 x Yellow-Tailed Blue Damsel

I won't be keeping much of a reef with this tank. I will try some simple corals and see if the fish bother them much. I have some GSP that has started opening up after being shipped dry on a rock from VA to Texas. It is bleached, but slowly getting color. I will try others when the tank has established itself.

My equipment is as follows:

ASM G1-X skimmer

40W Gamma UV

6x54W Nova Extreme Pro

Carbon bomb (1L of carbon)

40g Sump

Tagging along.....

How are the LFS in your area? Just curious.

The LFS are pretty good. Things are generally cheaper here and there a lot more good LFS here. In VA I mainly had to go to BRK if I didn't want to drive forever (even BRK was 30 minutes). Here, there are several good ones within 15 miles or so.

Looking good man. Get some shrooms and other easy to care for softies in there. I've got all kinds of softies in my Mom's original FOWLR tank. GSP is growing like crazy, and zenia has exploded.

I added 2 maroon clowns and the anemone shown in the pictures. I also have added a Longnose Hawkfish and a Copperband Butterfly.

Thanks for the comments. I have been pretty busy moving into my new house and trying to get everything in my life to settle down. I now have a wedding to plan. I am planning to add some corals in the coming months.

The GSP you see on the rock (to the left of the anemone) has just started coming back in the past weeks. It is crazy. I didn't expect it to make it. That piece of rock was out of water for near a month. I am going to stick to easy corals and maybe try some different things here and there to see what gets nipped at. My tank is technically a FOWLR, but I am going to try to make it a reef very slowly.

Very nice. I like the aquascaping, especially the right side.

Thanks. I need one more good rock to fill in that left side to match the right.

I had a bad week for fish. In my 120g, I lost my Copperband Butterfly very unexpectedly. In my 24g, I lost my large tomato clown, clown goby, and a damsel. I think in that tank one fish died which caused an ammonia spike which killed the next which caused a worse spike which killed my tomato. I did a water change and I will do another one in a day or two. Hopefully next week is better.

It appears that the 3 remaining fish in my 24g are doing much better. Hopefully everything begins to balance out now.

My 120g is doing very well again (minus my copperband :( )

I see you got your maroon back, hope this one doesn't change colors on you...lol.

I got them from BZA specifically as white stripes. I hope they were labeled right.

Updates man! How am I supposed to properly do an America Szied 120rr without a Texan 120 for inspiration!

I finally took another picture of the tank. I got married in March, so I had to take a break from my fish tanks in order to mess with that. Anyways, things are settling down and my budget has opened up a little bit more for aquarium money.

I haven't added any corals on this tank. I added some to my 65g though. In this tank I now have the following stocking:

Maroon Clown

Yellow Tang

Vlamingi Tang

Picasso Trigger

Porcupine Puffer

Green Bird Wrasse

Brown Bird Wrasse

Scribbled Rabbitfish

The tank has been stable for a while now, with few changes.

haha in-wall in-wall ... :) Did I tell you my CPP died too? He got stuck between my now awesome sized acro's, and i think exhausted himself trying to get out. I pulled him out and he died shortly thereafter. He'll be missed, but at least now, I can auto feed. I think I've learned a valuable lesson with picky fish: not for me!

Those corner overflows... is that an oceanic tank?!

Yes....it is an oceanic.

As for the CPP, I am pretty sure he just died one day...and then the fish cleaned him up quick. All I found were a few of his bones. I also lost one of my maroon clowns months ago. I was pretty sad about that.

Good to hear from you again Aaron! Vlamingi is getting big

Good to be back. I keep in touch with Fishcam and I have been telling him for some time I need to take a new picture of my tank to put on WAMAS. Maybe once the lights come on for the 65g I will get some pictures of that.
