Where is Larry of Roozens now?

I know that as of about three months ago Larry was no longer working at Roozens. Does anyone know what's become of him? One of the most knowledgeable people I've run into; got no end of good advice from him.

I like him a lot too. I actually didn't realize he was gone (thought I haven't seen him there recently). Sorry to hear that. Great guy.

Jos said when he first left he was working in a junk yard. he always liked to take stereos out and sell them on the side.

I was told Jos and Larry got into a yelling match a few months ago so they let him go. He must of worked there a very long time because I have been going there for ten years and Larry was always there except Sunday mornings when he was at church.

 

I did notice when I was there last month that it seems the place has gone down hill a little since Larry left.

Big mistake, IMHO. I hope he's doing well. I liked him.

Larry is a good guy and will land on his feet. I have known him since 1990 ish when he work in Leesburg VA!

I've seen Larry treated poorly by Jos in there, this does not surprise me. One time Larry was going out of his way to find a goby that I wanted and Jos came over very annoyed that he was upsetting the substrate. Larry also told me that he was blamed for dropping a boxfish into a tank that proceeded to wipe out the whole thing but that someone else did it.

 

That's a real loss for Roozens in my opinion. Larry has extensive knowledge, especially of wrasses. He can recite the Latin names of wrasses like the alphabet.
