Clyde August 26, 2008 August 26, 2008 (edited) So, I haven't seen my watchman gobi for a week now. I realy only see him when I spot feed him near his hole. The hole is gone, filled in and I have not seen him or the pistol shrimp. Any ideas? Edited August 26, 2008 by Clyde
jason the filter freak August 26, 2008 August 26, 2008 check and see if he and the shrimp, or one or the other have moved homes? Try checking right after lights go off.
L8 2 RISE August 26, 2008 August 26, 2008 This happened to me once, it was that the pistol had molted, but it only lasted a couple of days. I agree with Jason, they may have moved homes to a different part of the tank, maybe somewhere that's hard to see. The worst thing would be that one of the rocks fell and crushed both of them while they were in the hole. Your paramaters might project this if it happened so I would check those as well.
Lee Stearns August 26, 2008 August 26, 2008 yep I have had my pair for more than 5 years and there are ties they disappear for up to two weeks, even when I had them in a 12 gallon nano (they are now in a 54 corner)- It would be strange if they both died simutaneously with all other tank inhabitants doing well. how the corals look are a key first indicator of water parameter problems.

I moved a tank today back to the elementary school and didn"t even know he was still around until all the rock was out of the tank.
