Fragging gorgonia

Hola -

 

I've had this gorgonia for a while, it's about 11" high and I was thinking about fragging it, maybe clipping a few branches so it was short enough for my nano or gluing several onto a flat piece of rock to make a forest. Before I did so, I wanted to see if there was anything special about fragging it - do I just clip and glue? Geez that picture came out terrible.

The flesh grows on a thin pole-like skeleton. After cutting the Gorgonian at some length, I use wire strippers to "strip off" about 1/2" of flesh from the bottom where is was cut. This leaves a nice mounting extension for glueing into small holes.

Just to add to what Almon said...you should try to avoid covering any of the flesh with the glue/epoxy or whatever, otherwise it will act as a point of infection.
