Cheap Clams

I stopped by today @ Tropical Lagoon on Georgia Ave because I was in the neighborhood. Its a funky store that I adopted when I started with fresh water. Occasionally I will purchase there when I find something unusual or really good looking, or good prices. They have a great assortment of blue Crocia clams for $39.00. Since I havent been shopping for clams perhaps this is not a super price; but many I have seen in stores are up to $60.00 for similiar 2.5 to 3 inch. Seems like a good price to me.

It's a tiny little shop you'll drive by 3 times before you realize it's there - even when you're looking for it. Parking appears to be scarce, that's why I never stopped.

much of my live stock has come from Tropical Lagoon over the last 20+ years.

Any equipemnt that I buy* typically comes from there.

 

 

 

* I make most of my upper end $ stuff, anything I can't make, I buy it there.

 

I like the place, but you have to go a few times to appreciate it.

Stuff like livestock sells really fast so often, it's a luck thing if they still have it when you go there.

Wednesdays are typically a big new live stock day,

I like Tropical Lagoon also. Just watch out for that giant bird that always attacks me.

Yeah its a cool store.You can even get discounted merchandise from time to time that they sometimes sale for customers.Like a used skimmer or Calcium reactor.I would definately advise not to stop past during rush hour
