Guest clown-x August 13, 2007 August 13, 2007 Hello, I have a tank I would like to post for sale, but I did not see a section to post it in. Is this allowed here, or is there another forum that's setup for that? I did not see a classified section and do not want to post where not allowed. Thanks for the help. clown Nvm, Sorry, I just found the pin staing it's not allowed. Mods please delete. Thanks. clown
trble81 August 13, 2007 August 13, 2007 You have to be a member in order to use the WTB/For Sale forum. I don't think that there'll be a problem if you post here if you don't intend on joining the club.

Mods, if it's allowed please let me know, or just delete my post and I apologize.
jamesbuf August 13, 2007 August 13, 2007 If you are getting out of the hobby, then it is allowed in the general section. If you simply have goods to sell, then yes, you need to become a member. If you are staying in the hobby, let me tell you that this would be the best $20 you'd ever spend in the hobby. I bought my first skimmer used on here for $200......it retailed for $600. So I made my $20 back 20-fold on my first purchase. Just trying to help. Best of luck in your endeavors.

No, I am not getting out of the hobby completely, just downsizing. My gf has a 75 that we are keeping, but "my tank" is being sold as we are moving and are not going to maintain two tanks at one time... at least not in the immediate future. Thanks again for the heads up. Clown
treesprite August 13, 2007 August 13, 2007 Joining WAMAS would definately be well worth the $20.00. I had my doubts when I initially joined, but the doubts were lifted almost immediately.
jason the filter freak August 13, 2007 August 13, 2007 I agree, join us. It;s such a deal and the knowledge to be gained is priceless.
yauger August 13, 2007 August 13, 2007 welcome to WAMAS!! haha yup joining the club has made a huge difference in my tanks health. You should drop the $20 well that is if you have a saltwater tank... either way nice to meet yunz....
treesprite August 13, 2007 August 13, 2007 almost immediately? Well, it was like a couple weeks before I could even access the members only boards so I had no idea what all I would be able to get out of it. It took me that long to realize that having BB under my name meant that as far as the forum is concerned, I wasn't a WAMAS member when I was/am.
dmward99 August 13, 2007 August 13, 2007 I agree with all above.I joined when I wanted to learn about saltwater tanks .It was a good investment (the $20 membership fee).I have learned alot here.

I think this is what scared him away.. check out craigslist for his postings... He mention he was only thinning out his equipment and not getting completely out of the hobby...
Guest clown-x August 14, 2007 August 14, 2007 I wasn't running away... just away from computer for a bit. I didn't post the tank specs to be respectful of the board, wasn't trying to intrude on the TOS. Thanks for the info about membership. I'll mention that to my gf, she may be interested in that since she's more active then I am at this point. Take care, Clown
treesprite August 14, 2007 August 14, 2007 Ah, good to see you. If she joins, she can put the tank up for sale.
Guest clown-x August 18, 2007 August 18, 2007 Thanks treesprite. Tank has found a new home. Thanks Justin.
