davelin315 July 30, 2007 Share July 30, 2007 Look up his tank build. It's an awesome project. Khanh, that's one awesome efflo! If it wasn't for that piece, the others would look awesome, but it makes them look... almost ordinary (but not quite!).

bk_market July 30, 2007 Share July 30, 2007 how do you like the Bare Bottom? Pro and con?
Bendalat July 30, 2007 Author Share July 30, 2007 how do you like the Bare Bottom? Pro and con? bk_market, I never truely have a sand bed so I don't know how to compare. I do know that with BB, the tank can have more flow and easier to clean. I do like the look of the sand bed though.
davelin315 July 30, 2007 Share July 30, 2007 Hey Khanh, what's the pecking order in your tank (if there is one with that much room to roam)? You've got a number of tangs and I was curious as to how it shook out.

You've got a number of tangs and I was curious as to how it shook out. Dave, Naturally, the Sohal tang is the king, then the Black tang, the Hippo tang, the Powder Blue tang, the Purple tang, and the Yellow tang. The Magnificent Foxface is the police of the tank. It will step in and break up if any fight occurs. The Sohal and Powder Blue are already paid the price for fighting. While they were fighting, the Foxface step in, the Sohal and the Powder Blue turned and fought the Foxface. The result was both of them had a swollen faces.( because of the Foxface
Guest NSC July 31, 2007 Share July 31, 2007 Simply amazing! Beautiful fish slightly offset by the magnificence of the massive colonies...a picture straight off the reef only in your home, it's what we all work towards. TOTM? Bob? Can I get some back up here? jamesbuf July 31, 2007 Share July 31, 2007 You mention no DSB allowing increased flow. What do you have in your tank for flow other than the 2 tunzes pictured?
Bendalat July 31, 2007 Author Share July 31, 2007 (edited) You mention no DSB allowing increased flow. What do you have in your tank for flow other than the 2 tunzes pictured? James, The tank has four 6100 Tunze streams connecting to a multi controller; 2 hidden behind the rock. Each produces 3175 gph. The return pump is Mag18. At 6', I think it's about 800 gph. The turn over in the tank is about 40x to 45x. Khanh, Edited July 31, 2007 by Bendalat
