BeltwayBandit June 7, 2007 June 7, 2007 I'm guessing you were on the sidewalk when you took that picture.
luceneck June 7, 2007 June 7, 2007 Looks very familiar!!! In all seriousness the colors and openness of the structure would suggest a tropical country. Something in the Bahamas?
yauger June 7, 2007 June 7, 2007 kinda looks like the top of the Masonic temple in Alexandria... Looks very familiar!!! In all seriousness the colors and openness of the structure would suggest a tropical country. Something in the Bahamas? dude thats funny....
HowardofNOVA June 7, 2007 June 7, 2007 CRAIG! That's the view from the Bahamas JAIL CELL!!! Tisk! Tisk! Do you and the misses get into a Drunken Stupor and go STREAKING AGAIN!!!
rioreef June 7, 2007 June 7, 2007 Looks similar to the Freedom Tower in Miami, but it is not it. "Spanish Plateresque" style.
rioreef June 8, 2007 June 8, 2007 What do I win? It the BILTMORE HOTEL in Coral Gables, FL. The tower, like the Freedom Tower in downtown Miami, is a replica of Seville's Giralda tower.
Gatortailale June 9, 2007 Author June 9, 2007 good rioreef. Here is statute of the founder of coral gables It's really supposed to be blueprints of city in his hand, but the angle is funny. Don't open if easily offended.
Guest NanoKat June 20, 2007 June 20, 2007 So, you were down our way, eh? I'm just a lurker on this forum usually, since I grew up in the DC area (now I'm in Fort Lauderdale) and saw that you came to Florida...thought that first pic looked familiar! Anyone that comes down make sure to check out our FMAS (Florida Marine Aquarium Society) meeting that's held every 4th Tuesday near Fort Lauderdale. Hope you enjoyed our balmy summer weather...although not much different from DC! People used to ask me how I dealt with it...I just asked them if they'd ever been to DC in the summer!
