If you ever scratch your glass tank in the inside, what can you do?  Chemicals are not good in the inside so what other option you have for repairing inside glass tank scratches?
I haven't heard of anything.  Might be able to fire polish it out? but this might compromise the integrity of the glass.  Only option I can think of is replacing the whole pane.
You will need some type of abrasive, the best method I know of would be Cerium oxide and a polishing wheel.  I have no idea if it is safe to use inside the tank though.

Jacob,

Kinds of reminds of the story about a gent in the bathroom doing his buisness at the urinal and see's a dime sitting down there. So when he is finished, he tosses in a quarter.

Then reaches in and takes both!

"For 10 cents, no way, for .35 cents: "just do it!"

In other words, don't sweat it!

If you can't get it out of your mind, take a hammer and do it right gvl]]

Then replace the whole thing!!

:D

I also got some small scratches inside my tank... what made it worse is green algae started growing in the grooves and made them even more apparent.

I've done a pretty good job looking past and forgetting about the scratches, but every once in awhile I'd see them, get extremely upset, and then realize they were the same scratches I "forgot" awhile ago...

I guess this will be a good training for when I get an acrylic tank... if I can scratch a glass tank, who knows what I'd do to an acrylic one!  wndr

Thanks guys.. My wife said don't worry about it and if you can, when you can, if you can, buy a new tank....

WOW !!!!  did you hear that?  I guess the blessing is on me now....   hhmm!!!  but how you transition a 125 G stock tank to a new 125G or 150G if the new tank is to be placed in the same place as the existing one?    .. well, patience and a lot of friends and work. but what you do with the scratch tankt?

Putting a new tank in the same spot as the old tank is not fun.

Do it some other way.

Congrats on getting the go-ahead.
