xabo March 13, 2023 March 13, 2023 I see pods on the glass walls of tank but they don't appear to be moving. Is this normal?
xabo March 13, 2023 Author March 13, 2023 Hard to get a good pic as there's no background on the rear of tank.
lynn.reef.nerd March 13, 2023 March 13, 2023 Those are not copepods. Hoping someone else can chime in for correct identification.
DaJMasta March 13, 2023 March 13, 2023 That's likely the medusa stage of a hyrdoid, they are very common to see in new tanks, especially, and usually will not be visible within a few days. Most copepods will be smaller than this and will be moving quick enough to see.
xabo March 13, 2023 Author March 13, 2023 Thanks...........found this on another forum: Hydroids-Bad hitchhikers. Good news is that they don't tend to live very long and die off on their own as the tank progresses
Origami March 13, 2023 March 13, 2023 Yep. Hydroids. Those will quickly disappear. Nothing to worry about. Sent from my Note 10+5g using Tapatalk
