  1. Any idea what this is? May be hard to see in video, but there is a small hitchhiker on this zoa colony that looks like a tiny Feather Duster worm. Its located on the lower right portion of the zoa in the video between the polyps, and it appears to shrink and pop back out in response to movement. Edit: Not sure if the photos uploaded, it says they're attached but they don't seem to be showing up.

    What is this ?
  3. I have found mixed reviews on this so I thought I would check here. I have these very tiny feather duster looking creatures all over my DT and sump. There are a few dense groups, but otherwise they are spread out. Everything seems to be doing well and parameters are in check. From what I can find these are not an indication of anything bad, and have read that it is a good sign. There is a dense pocket at the base of my own torch. they are also growing on the shells of some snails and crabs. 1 empty shell has they growing out of the shell. Should I be concerned?
  4. I recently received a frag of Candy Apple Zoanthids, but there is something attached to this that is growing. I have attached a photo that was taken when I recieved it last week. Where it looks to be broken off at the top of the "fin" is now grown out and shaped like a complete "fin". Can anyone tell me what it is. It seems to open and close slightly throughout the day like a clam. Thanks!
  5. Hello All, I have 2 different growths on the underside of my porites coral. The first is a colony of white sponges that is growing around the edge (Pic #1). I am concerned that it will interfere with new growth. The second are two separate small (<1cm) worm like things. They each have one orifice and seem to be spinning a web to catch loose stuff. Pic #2 shows one of them, greenish gray stump attached to rock on which porite is growing, with a pink mouth. I think I just saw it chewing on the poop that my feather duster extrudes..... Are either one of these bad news? Thanks! --S
