  1. Thanks! I wouldn't have been as concerned if they weren't growing in mass at the base of the torch. Thanks again!
  2. I did see a single tentacle of the torch floating around. I think this is unrelated but thought I should mention it. Also, there are more around the torches base than the pic shows, but I can't get a clear pic of the larger group.
  3. Sorry had issues doing so on my phone. Let me know if you need additional pics! https://www.dropbox.com/sh/j04xb6jvfehahp0/AAC_nQRxDilyeKkBtf2W4Nrta?dl=0
  4. I have found mixed reviews on this so I thought I would check here. I have these very tiny feather duster looking creatures all over my DT and sump. There are a few dense groups, but otherwise they are spread out. Everything seems to be doing well and parameters are in check. From what I can find these are not an indication of anything bad, and have read that it is a good sign. There is a dense pocket at the base of my own torch. they are also growing on the shells of some snails and crabs. 1 empty shell has they growing out of the shell. Should I be concerned?
  5. The only time I see anyone pestering them is themselves. That seems to just be goofing off though, because then they are swimming together all over the tank.
  6. There was never anything in that spot. Occasionally I would see them do this in the front as well...usually in a depression in the sand. Recently it is only in the back and not necessarily in a depression.
  7. I have 2 B&W clowns in my tank. Both eat well and show no visual signs of illness. They will lay down in the back of the tank and rest on the bottom and lean against the back motionless. Then a few seconds later the are moving around. This repeats for a while and then they are back to swimming around the tank especially when I walk up to it. I added a BTA 2 weeks ago, but so far neither clown will go to it. I have seen others have had clowns that will do this, but some mention theirs dieing. This has been going on a while now. Is this normal behavior for a clown? Similar to this, but they will actually stay perfectly still at times. https://www.dropbox.com/s/oqgtoitwf3o2660/2015-03-30%2000.28.12.mp4?dl=0 Thanks!
  8. Good to know for the future, I jumped the gun worried it was bad and removed it already. Thanks again!
  9. Got the coral from reefs2go.com...I guess I should be skeptical of what they are naming them. Hopefully the others are correct. This "muscle" came on the frag.
  10. Appreciate the input from all. After comparing pics, they definately look more like watermelon. Very new to the coral side of this hobby! After removing the "growth" I believe it looks a lot like a muscle. Attached is a dissected view since I didnt want it in my tank. Overall very this, maybe 1/8" at its thickest. Again thank you all for the help!
  11. I recently received a frag of Candy Apple Zoanthids, but there is something attached to this that is growing. I have attached a photo that was taken when I recieved it last week. Where it looks to be broken off at the top of the "fin" is now grown out and shaped like a complete "fin". Can anyone tell me what it is. It seems to open and close slightly throughout the day like a clam. Thanks!
