My tank is in the basement too! so it help! the temp do not fluctuated that much, Spring and Summer around the conner, so keep an eyes out for your temp in your tank specially when one run Metal Halide bulbs.
I am second to that, It would be best of your interest to remove it specially when you have clams. IME Bristle worm usually suck at the foot of the clam until the clam die not right the away thru out the period of time couple weeks or months depend on the clam size, it happen to me. good luck!

The tangs are fine I use to have 3 in there and they fine, just too crowed I took one out sailfin, yellow and purple. I will try to put one other different type of clown not another marron.
I need some advices, I have a 75g tank, already have pair of Maroon clown with a short bubble tip anemones for years. Now I would like to put onther pair of clown fishes don't know what to get yet. Do you think I am going to have a problem? What types of clown should I get?

There is a good artical on RC about how to aclimate new bulbs for your tank, Most people using windows scence and put it b/w the new MH and tank. They put 4 layers and removed a layer a week still run the MH regular hrs 8 or 9 Good luck!
