Anyone keep the power blue tang or Sohal tang with Yellow and Purple tang in 100gallons and above? I just recently setup 125g tank, already have the yellow and Purple tang thinking of adding either power blue tang or sohal tang. Any adv. appreciate!

This is my adv. in the forms WAMAS member only. One off the WAMAS member has the same problem ICK! Ok to save you the trouble of speding tons of $$$ like I used too on all types of solutions to solve the ick problem, like kick ick, garlic solution, copper solution, lower salinity, extract garlic, quariantine tank ect.... Here is about ick! Ick is like a cold for fishes, if your fish is in stress or any circumstan not in the right enviroment it will have ick or some other type of symtons and die. So the first lesson to make sure that the fish is in the right enviroment and second your water need to be good parameters according to guideline. Third take your time do research or ask on forums about different types fishes behavior and coexist before purchase, and most important make sure that your tank have enough space for your fish the most common problem people tent to put to many fishes in a small tank, this is absolute will stress out these fishes. Just my .02 worth of adv. good luck!

Sixline Wrasse yes it in the wrasse family sometime it will have an attitude toward others species, sorry you are unlucky to get the phsyco one, but most of them are alright.

As long as you have the lid on and nothing mess with it, you should be fine! just turn back the heater and powerhead for circulation. Measure the salt salinity and temp before water change.

Garrett, anything you get beyond 10k you will have more blue, but I would just stay with 10k if your system is doing well. If you already have atinic then you don't really need more blue in your metal halide bulb.

Right on LT! different folk different stoke. If you have some $$ to spare on the hobby go forth! There are tons of setup out there to fit your taste, but remember there only few logical basic and knowleged to keep saltwater reef tank. Just do whatever that make you happy and it will make your marine life happy too! My 0.2 advice.

if you are planning to keep SPS, It would be best to go with the MH and keep the softies at the low bottom of the tank. Make sure that the MH is at least 8-10" above the tank water level.

clownfish4, Make sure that you have some circulation in the tank and don't feed too much. You should be fine of a couples of day. Good luck!

Need advice. I have the Magnetic MH which working fine, but last night when I came home it wasn't working, unable to lid up the bulb. I open it look inside, everything look fine the compasitor not busted, but the magnetic part which have a lot of metal wrap around it get very hot. I unplug it and let it cool after couples hrs. I plug it back, but it still not working. Anyone has any experience about magnetic ballast please help! thanks

It look like that you have quite a problem in your tank check the basic water paramaters and tank health. What did you do differently in the last couples weeks? Good Luck!
