  1. Maybe try placing the lens directly on the glass. When focusing it should look past any imperfections.
  2. As when taking any photos through glass, don’t use flash, turn off all lights behind the shot. Try to take the photo at an angle. If using a phone camera, you can put it inside a sealed pouch designed for underwater and then take some really nice up close shots.
  3. It looks a lot like Marco rock.
  4. I purchased some from Amazon. Comes in 40lbs boxes.
  5. If you put a piece of orange filter over the lens, would it improve the image?
  6. Update: the Wyze camera requires a micro SD chip in order store and play back in the cloud. Home Depot had another Wyze that came with the chip. However, you can purchase the chip online for about $8 for a 32GB. I picked up two 64GB chips for $22, since I bought two cameras.
  7. Good question. It wasn’t working for me yet. But I just set it up. I’ll work on diagnosis and get back later tonight.
  8. BTW, I wasn’t attempting to promote the Kickstarter campaign. Just thought it was cool that someone was working on the possibility of making a device that would solve a problem. Sry if it looked that way.
  9. Not sure. However, I’m sure you can go to the hardware store and find replacement hinges. And maybe find some that won’t rust.
  10. I’ve been burned a cpl times. Most have worked out great. My worst burn was for a drone that collected the largest funding recorded on Kickstarter. Since then, Kickstarter has made some changes to stem possible fraud.
  11. Can’t wait to see this come to life. https://reef2reef.us7.list-manage.com/track/click?u=575b41be57d360bc9434b674a&id=375d396032&e=e4429534c8
  12. $25.98 at Home Depot
  13. Home Depot has the Wyze camera for $25. Has 14 day recording to the cloud for free.
  14. If you are thinking about creating new pieces, think about an iPad app called Shapr3D. Requires the Apple Pencil. I quickly got a generic gang of it. Created a 3D image of my tank design so I could iron out the plumbing design.
  15. It’s going online now. That’s the future for now.
  16. Thx. I suspected it wasn’t safe. But wanted to corroborate before committing to it.
  17. My Question revolves around plumbing. I'll preface this by saying I'm new to the hobby. I'm going to plumb two tanks into one system. One will be a 180gal predator tank the other a 120gal mixed reef tank. Where would I install the UV filter? And would it be plumbed back to the sump or continue to the DT? If plumbed to the DT, would it be plumbed to the reef tank, the predator tank, or both DT's? Thanks for everyone input.
  18. Sry you cancelled. The storm isn’t supposed to hit until Monday into Tuesday.
  19. Heading there tomorrow
  20. Congressional Aquarium will test your water. Located in Rockville, MD
  21. Check your heater. Also, remove anything with an electrical wire from the water. Good luck.
