  1. I’m looking for EcoTech mounts. TomBradley412 was doing it. But I haven’t heard back from him for several months. Not sure if he is offline or not.
  2. Thx. I think it used to be plain. Now it has that sesame flavor. I can get it from the Korean markets when I’m ready.
  3. This is from Costco. Is it safe for fish?
  4. Agreed. Posted it for sale. Picked up a smaller skimmer for the second tank. Waiting for new electrical lines to be wired. Then the tanks will begin the cycle process.
  5. I wouldn’t buy fish at HOT. Equipment is fairly priced. I prefer Congressional Aquarium in Rockville. Not close to Baltimore
  6. I am ready to obtain/build two stands to support a 120g and 180g tank. Should I build it with wood, build it with aluminum, or have one built with steel? It's also possible to build one stand to support both tanks in an L shape with the space between the two to house the electronics. PS, if anyone knows the costs associated with each type of material, that would be helpful as well. Thank you
  7. I will have the tanks behind the blue tape. I have two sumps. However, if I put the skimmer in one of them, I won’t be able to put the sump under the tank. I could buy an acrylic box just for the skimmer
  8. Skimmer is too large to put beneath the DT. It’s also an external skimmer.
  9. I’m new to the hobby and I have acquired a Super Reef Octopus XP-8000ext skimmer. Can anyone explain/diagram what I would need to get this setup to work with both a 180gal and 120gal tank together? Thx
  10. Just watched Chasing Coral on Netflix. Highly recommend if you haven’t already seen it. Documents the coral bleaching events.
  11. Is there a difference? Can I use a generic shop light fixture and insert T8 bulbs? Any other suggestions? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Thank you. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I’ve seen setups with an adjustable valve. What line is it connected to? The return or the drain? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Also, when ordering bulkheads, is there a specific type I should be looking for? I’ve seen thread x thread ABS bulkheads and slip x slip bulkheads. Thx again for the help. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  17. Let me start by saying I’ve never setup a saltwater aquarium. So my questions will seem naive. So I’m starting to plan my plumbing for a 120gal tank. It has two 3/4” and two 1” drilled holes. Not sure if I can do a Bean Animal setup or not. My questions are 1) is the return line the larger of the two sizes? 2) do I need an adjustable inline ball valve? 3) if so, is that on the return line or the drain line? Any other insight is greatly appreciated. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Thank you again. I'm definitely going this route.
  19. One other question. I tried to read the attached thread and too much back an forth. Can a nail gun be used instead of screws?
  20. Thank you. Planning on mounting a desktop on top. That will insure a level surface.
  21. Does anyone have plans for building a tank stand. I’m new and want to save some $$$ by building my own stand. Any ideas are welcome. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Tom, it was great meeting you at MACNA. I learned a lot those three days. I also took a number of photos of tanks to get a better understanding of the plumbing. I look forward to seeing you and meeting others from WAMAS in the future. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. I’ll look you up. Thx Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
