This is how the restrictor looks like. Carbon particles inside?

Can the restrictor line be clogged? The one I have has black particles inside of it.

I was just told that this is normal and old RODIs don't have a waste line where water leaves out. Just one in and one out

There was this weird restrictor I removed. Had a long wire stuck to the end of it. Now I get waste water but the clean water stopped lol When I plug up the dirty water the clean water starts to come out.

Hello once again. I just got my rodi set up (after buying it and letting it sit for a few weeks) it was used. I got it set up and I get drops coming consistently on the clean end but nothing coming from the dirty water end. Was this a shot rodi?

I got the first one. Connected the water line but it was leaking. Did I need anything else with it?

Thanks everyone who responded. It looks like monkiboy knows his stuff. the skimmer was cleaned and just needed to be broken in again. took half a day for this to happen. I just let it run and kept emptying the collection cup since it was collecting pretty quick. but the water is getting darker and darker and collecting slower. should be back to normal when I get home! who would of thought! thanks again wamas
