how can you tell the difference between real plywood and particle boards? I googled veneers and it looks like a sticker type sheet that goes over the plywood. is that correct? Is the veneer waterproof?
so i have the frame for a stand measuring 48 x 20 which will be used to support 2 of my 24 gallon cubes. i need to put wood on top to support the two tanks. what kind of wood should i use and what kind of sealant should i use to make it somewhat water resistant? I also want to put boards on the front and sides. do i use the same board used on the top for the sides?
any help would be appreciated.
i have been doing some research on pipes i can use on my tank and came across orbit brand pipes.
people used it for outdoor sprinkler systems and it seems to be flexible as well.
have anyone used this before?
i am a fluval filter owner as well and have to say those filters are the hardest filters to get going. i thought about putting a pump on one of the hoses to speed up the process.
nice pics. i fed my sps reef roids and they do well. softies in my experience does better with frozen food probably because it gets the water a little dirty, but it also encouraged algae growth.
i would just get the evergrow. too much work building it, plus it would cost more to order the parts than to get the evergrow lights. even with the baby, i dont think it would take much time to set it up.
i like your stand. would you happen to have the measurements for the limber? What kind of lumber did you use? I am in the research phase of my stand build.
