I got my brs pukani rock today...tossed them in my older tank to cycle.
One very nice super large show piece and few other good sized pieces
I did get 1 that seemed like base rock...so I'll ping them on that....overall very happy
I also got a hitchhiker with it .... :lol2:
I decided to keep him in my crib..
I also got the CPR in tank fuge and it fits perfectly...
Now to the pics
I have a ph probe on my apex and it's been showing what I think is a higher than normal ph of 8.8..it's about 2 yrs old
I got some calibration liquids...what's the process to recalibrate it or verify if it is showing me the right ph..
Do I dip it directly in the calibration liquid or take some out of the bottle.
New members coming in today are yellow tang, powder blue and powder brown...
Last night was the flame angel being added and the maroon clowns departing.
Getting acclimated
yes AIs have better thunderstorm ... but ecotech should fix that soon enough....now if they came with some wireless speakers to give out some sound =D
i have mine at 10% also and ive never seen it come on..i may bump it higher too lol...did u go natural or artifical...artifcal is cool..but confusing to me...with all the options...ive gone artifical and faked the time so it works according to the time when i am home.
I would also like their sunrise to be more orangish u know..
i just got my wireless pluging for it...so i am going to mess with the thundersrom and cloud...i am totally loving the depth.
now i just need to convince my wife to let me get a good dslr camera...
hmmm you can always start with lower and move more aggressively if they look starved ...rather than put higher intensity and cause them to bleach.
i started with 60%...when empty then looking with the naked eye...i just tried to match the color between my current leds and these...they matched at about 30% ish...but since its new i decided to go even lower and increase
i dont have any par meter etc which would be helpfull...
they say each radion =250mhl ...
what kind of mhl did you have over what dimensions ?
i just ordered the cpr in tank refugium for my sump....my sump was big..but i needed space for my chaeto...
it was this or i could use eggcrates..but i wasnt sure how well it would hold with water flow etc
the cpr is 13x6x8 i believe so u can stik it inside ur sump

I have had anemones with no issues in a 29 g as well...the key is the tank should be well established in a smaller size...
Temp, salinity etc shud be uniform
They usually seem to do better as the tank matures ...
Not too much flow and decent lighting helps...
Hey all,
Thx for the help with the plumbing...
I just got my radions in today...and mounted them and took a few pics of everything up and running..
I need to fix up a few minor things and tidy up my basement which is full of plumbing parts ...
If all works as planned I should start moving my livestock over by this weekend...
Anyone have any suggestions on how to add chaeto to a sump while restraining it...I have a 2 chamber sump and I have enough room...but I don't want to chaeto to break out and get into my skimmer etc...
Any kind of flexible mesh or maybe egg rates or something like acrylic perforated ...idk
If nothing I'll just find a specimen container ...drill some holes and throw it in..
Ok I ended up cutting off the PVC...and noticed there was a good sized grain lodged on the flange...side...
Cleaning it up and I will get a new bulkhead and proceed tomorrow
Couple questions
1) is the seal formed on the flange side
2) can there be water present when I put the gasket and bulkhead in or does it have to be completely dry
3) I noticed I had a small dis formation /chip on the dry side( opposite from the flange)...it's not even impacting the circle radius...it's just outside it...but would be covered by the nut on the dry side...I had no leak on that side and I am assuming it is only cosmetic..
