Although it was not our plan, I think our excitement about the tank and trying to engage the kids in the hobby resulted in: 1) reduced novelty and subsequent curiosity about the tank, 2) reduced activity near the tank (maybe the feared if they went near the tank, I would make them talk about it). So, I guess try to burn your kids out on the hobby, or at least remove the novelty or taboo about it. It worked for us, and out kids who are 3, 5, and 7.

Again? How many times have you done before? <--- could also be read, "How addictive is this hobby?"

Who doesn't eat Jan's food?

We are rearranging our sump, and found it infested with these things. They appear to be most prevalent in the drain chamber of the sump. I am including close up pictures, and another for context. The appear to be plump (tall as wide), and gross! Also, although there are many, they appear inactive and don't really move. Any input is greatly appreciate!

What are your plans with the tank?

I guess food makes a lot of things better for me, too. We will try it, and keep our fingers crossed. But a margareta usually works even better for me.... should I give my acan one of those as well with its meal?

Thanks, David and Ryan. I did like your lights, David, so that gives us a good direction when the time comes to replace ours. Also, the new corals are looking great- thanks! The kids love the new toadstool, although have noted numerous times that a toad shouldn't sit on it as they might "smoosh" it.
