Has anybody used all or some of these products and noticed any difference between them? I am looking to add a GFO reactor soon to my 30 gallon tank but I want to see what experiences you guys have had. I have heard that Seachem Phosguard is not as efficient as the other two..

I agree with you I bought the BRS 2 part kit but I have a 30 gallon (total volume) tank.. So this would last me for ever... You only need 3 ingredients for building your own DIY 2 part, Baking Soda takes care of alkalinity, Epsons Salt (takes care of Mag.) and Prestone Driveway heat takes care of your calcium..

those are nice, check out my tank as well (nano section) mine is visible through the 4 sides and I have a herbie overflow drilled through the bottom of the tank..

As far as I understand this hobbie, we need allot of import / export of nutrients in order to keep a healthy and colorfull reef. Of course nitrates will need to be 0 or low but you will need to add some food for your corals even if you dont have fish.. I have known people that take out their fish thinking that their reef would do better, but actually their reef decayed! Personally I think that one of the most interesting things in an aquarium is the personality of different types of fish. Mine always feed in the same spot, but of course I have a small tank so that is common. Yellow tangs are a must I would say, I have one myself and I would not be able to keep my tank algae free without him!
