  1. Just one note, these pics of trim and carpeting are pre-crash by a few days. Even got my wife to help paint!
  2. Here are some pics of painting and best of all, new corals!
  3. Trockafella, anytime you are down my way stop in! I have a Newcastle waiting for ya!
  4. Pics should be up in the next couple of days!
  5. As Der Abt mentioned, this thread is now again open. I really need to extend a heartfelt thanks to Der Abt, Rocko918, DaveS and more than a few others for helping me restock my acro selections. Everything is doing well and hopefully gearing up for a great grow-out. So thanks, and if anyone needs a favor, free labor, or a resting spot for trimmed frags I will always be happy to provide!
  6. Thanks again man! It was great to meet you as well!
  7. Now everyone has seen those tanks that have tons of red and purple coralline algae. It does become a nuisance if it gets out of control but on the flip side, it does give the tank a nice look. Would anyone be willing to let me come over and scrape off a good bit? I already have a ton of green coralline, just looking for the red and purple. Thanks in advance!
  8. Really? No one else has had a clown lay eggs before? Give this man some help!
  9. and thanks!
  10. What were they selling them for?
  11. ahhhhhh, ok. Thanks!!
  12. I've been looking for an additional c02 tank and can't seem to find one. Does anyone know if I can use a standard oxygen tank?
  13. Yes, took the clam over to a friends house at about 6 in the morning. Still over there and happy as a clam but I don't think ky friend will be when I pull it out of her tank!
  14. SO..... The tank has finally stabilized and has been for a while. Who has some good looking SPS frags? Shoot me a PM or text at 571.268.7853 and hopefully we can work something out. Thanks!
  15. Divorce!
  16. Congratulations! And you thought a reef tank was high maintenance!!
  17. check out reefcleaners.org. There are a lot of good critters that will eat cyanobacteria.
  18. I like my DA Reefkeeper. All of the options listed above and i like the control interface.
  19. Hey man, I have two on my tank and they are absolutely kick butt! Talk to BBYATV (bruce) he is the CEO, President, and Chief Laborer and he won't steer you wrong. Even though i don't have any coral, you can always come down and take a look at my setup to get some ideas.
  20. Well, at least that is something in my favor....
  21. I have every spare media reactor full of carbon and my skimmate is pretty wet without me even trying. It does seem like the majority of my hermits and snails are ok. That should help with the cleanup a bit. Does anyone know if nassarius vibex snails eat dead fish? They work a number on detritus so I wasn't sure if it would transfer over.
  22. Build thread on hold due to operator error and sheer stupidity.
  23. Yup, all corals are dead with the exception of three possible survivors. Livestock count is currently 2 green chromis, 1 china wrasse. Dead livestock in the rocks that I can't get to: 6 lyretail anthias, 2 ignitus anthias, 4 green chromis, 1 copperband butterfly, 1 midas blenny. Something tells me my tank is in for one heck of a cycle. On a side note, I'm going fishing in Canada for 8 days this coming friday. Sounds like a good plan, relax and let my tank cycle back home.
  24. Thanks Paul, I really appreciate it. I am literally biting my fingers at work thinking about my colonies and hoping everything pulls through. BTW, I still have the media reactor for you! Don't put kalk in it!!!!!!!!
  25. Of course I will come see you Dave! You took all of my money at the last frag meets, why not keep it going??
