  1. I use a 120watt (55x3) led light over my tank with a glass lid and don't have the heat problem. My tank stays at 79 degrees lights on or off. I have 1 powerhead in it that brought the tank up 2 degrees to 79. It was around 76 before the powerhead went it. I doubt my heater even kicks on at all. I only rn my led's at 50%, but I don't think my temp would rise at 100% seeing as I had a metal halide over it at first. My only difference was when I added the powerhead.

Lol, no. I only set up and broke down one tank rather quickly and that was the Cardiff Josh bought before I moved. My last tank crashed while on vacation and I've been a reluctant to get back into it with a bigger tank. Still am, but I am in the middle of setting up 90. We'll see how it goes.
  3. 36x24x24 Starfire front and sides. Top eurobrace is removable as this tank was originally rimless. I plan to remove the eurobracing and clean up all the black silicon in the tank to make the lines much cleaner. I also started on my stand yesterday and finished the frame. I'll wrap it, add trim and stain it sometime this week. I will update the thread as I make more progress on it. This will be a very slow build, so there won't be much to see for a while once the stand is complete.
  4. My aquapod I set up recently. Wheeleri and shrimp
  5. 120watt, dimming, blue and white go for $175 shipped on eBay.

  7. Have you checked the par on that light at the sand level lately? Those look like they aren't getting enough light.
  8. I've thought about and decided that my new set up will be a reef pond in my basement.
  9. Forest, this is normal. Your next post has to be about something positive.
  10. Use a cleaner magnet and put in work. Should take about 1 minute or less with a glass tank. *(Scraping with a razor down by the sand, in corners and near top rim or brace may take longer and require more effort. Sore muscles and stiffness may occur. If you experience any of these side effects, please see your local personal trainer immediately.)
  11. I thought maybe it was Patrick from Sponge Bob.
  12. post pics of these when they come in. the pics on that site look weird to me.
  13. why even do a box/tower at all in the center? Why don't you just do the piping and incase them in rockwork instead? Or go with an ultra thin overflow along the top back of the tank?
  14. Sean at fins and feathers is the best local (and one of the best non-local) to get fish from. Go there. He will get what you want if he does not already have it in stock.
  15. Some place in Richmond did it. It looks a lot thinner than the glassholes overflows i've seen. Tank's for sale though.
  16. Either that lil thing weighs a ton for its size or that dude's about to have a stroke.
  17. I haven't heard of that happening around here, but I'm sure it has before. I know of cases where someone stole livestock from a local LFS. Pretty foul. That fool isn't allowed in a certain LFS anymore, but should be banned from all the LFS if you ask me.
