  1. I just recently drilled my 75 tank two days ago. I thought it was going to be hard but in fact it was very easy. I did composite and sheetmetal for years and know how to use a drill. I have a 2" diamond hole saw. If you really want your tank drilled I would not mind drilling your tank. Just send me your info and we can go from there.
  2. Well my thing is I will be ridding my self of my light set up. It is only six months old I should have just purchased the T5 light system first. And BTW how often are you supposed to change T5 bulbs?

  7. Well Centreville Aquariums is close by my house and there prices are about normal if you had to order the items online. But in the end Im a firm believer of customer service, and how comfortable I feel when looking around or asking questions.
  8. Great that was perfect, but are there any good LFS, I live near Centreville Aquarium, and know of the two big stores, Petco and Petsmart I used to go to this one in Leesburg, but I heard they shutdown are there others around?
  9. I was just wondering can anybody break down the acronyms. I have no clue what BRK is or MARU. I mean I thought this forum was to help others find out where and what there called.
  10. Well after all the reading on here, I figure that by cutting back on some of the feeding decrease the natural lights time, and adding herb fish you can really cut down and control all HA and cyano. The info is very much worth it weight in gold. Thank you all for the great advice.
  11. Is see you are resealing the old tank to make it last longer, all the advice is good, but I noticed one thing nobody has told what type of sealant to use. I recently resealed a tank that the person before me used household silicone sealant I had to scrape it all out and re do the job and crossed my fingers that the old anti fungal sealant would not disrupt the ecosystem of the tank. Well long story short, your LPS sells the proper sealant you will need. I suggest that you run your finger along the sealant after you apply it to force the glue into the seams of glass and further seal and bond the glass. Then let it sit for about 48 hours and fill the tank with water, that way you know you did a good job.
