  1. Tracy, Try this http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod...63&catid=22 I put the two fan unit on my 24g with the 150W MH over it and it has done wonders. My temp stays at around 79 now (which is what my heater is set at). It use to run between 82 and 84. It might be worth a shot.

  12. Everything in and on the rock is indeed dead. It should now be like base rock. It should be able to be reseeded.
  13. PM sent if you still need a swing arm salinity meter.
  14. I was treating a yellow tang awhile ago for a host of problems. He was doing much better and the hyposalinity really seemed to be working. The freshwater dip also went well. Anyways, I came home one day and found that my heater stopped working. The tank was 60-65 F. Sadly, the tang died. :( Also, I never had any problems with my 46g. When I moved here I got a 72g and a 24g and have had a host of problems.
  15. Very beautiful tank. Good work.
  16. I had a huge hair algae problem that just sprouted up one day in both my tanks. In my 72g, I put a yellow tang in there and he eat every last bit of it. In my 24g, nothing worked so I finally shoved all of my live rock in the oven and baked the H-E-double hocky sticks out of it. Then the hair algae just peels right off. There is no more hair algae. I know my rock will take awhile to be re-seeded and all...but having a tank with hair algae sucks so very much. Anyways...good luck. I was using RO/DI water and my nitrates were low...I tried everything to get rid of it. Good luck.
  17. I couldn't find my clown goby for about the first week. It now perches nicely in the front of the rockwork so I can almost always find him. Very cute little fish. You could always try this --->
  18. Buy RC at liveaquaria...it is cheap
  19. He might still be ok...I know mine only rises a half centimeter or so when the power goes out. Also, if you do have a problem...maybe we can check it with my system and if it works then maybe I could buy it off of you and then you could use the money to make a new one. Just a thought at least.
  20. Fishcam - How much was your total cost?
  21. Awesome, thanks.

    Sump

I was thinking about replacing the sump I have underneath my 72g for something a little larger. I was thinking using the dimensions 24" x 12" x 16" for the sump. I was wondering if anyone here has some good sump plans. I just want a pretty standard sump, that has more capacity than my current one and also has some dividers so I can put filter media and keep my rock from sliding into my pump.
  23. wow
  24. I am jealous
  25. It was great!!
