  7. how did everything turn out for you yesterday? I hope all is well with the tank. post an update if you can..
  8. Dave what is the point for running the tank at such a low salinity? Proper maintenance and care along with some good hardware should prevent any nasties that might pop up... but if its unnatural to the fish it can't be good for them long term...
  9. I'm glade to hear you no longer have a phosphate problem...
  10. yall got problems... seek help people seek help...
  11. Well, most reefers I know keep their tanks at 1.025, I personally keep mine closer to 1.026. I believe the natural sea water is closer to 1.027 SG so I'm sure if your close to that your fine. Now if your talking about a hypo SG tank for treatments of something like ich or something or that nature I would only suggest it in a separate tank... For the inverts issue in your tank you can get any herbivore fish that will graze on most algae that will grow for example a lawnmower blenny or some tangs would do the trick... Good luck...
  12. PM on its way.... PM on its way....
  13. dang sorry to hear, hit me up when things are stable again, I have some free frags to give you!

Sump area should fit a nice frag station and fuge, the skimmer and media reactor will be in the laundry room which is to the right.

  21. I can't believe no one said anything about this.... No I would not suggest putting SPS or clams in a 2 month old system. for sps and claims to thrive it must be in a establish tank.
  22. haven't received my box o crap from raf yet...
  23. with either of those you might have a hard time setting up the legs to fit... you might want to consider the TEK lights which can be suspended from the ceiling or the retro kits to fit in a canopy...
  24. yeah I'm leaning on T5's but I can't go retro because I don't have a canopy also on my setup a canopy would look awkward.
  25. okay this is what the end result is from all my questioning and digging... 150WATT over my tank which is only 14 inches high is way too much and I'm burning my corals.... this is what I can not find out... what lighting is not to intense for a nano with 14 inches high? any lighting experts out there? ONE more thing... can someone help out this weekend and house my corals in there frag tank for a month or so? all corals are frags and they are small (1" to 2") I want to do this to bring some of them back to life (color health ect) in return you can keep a few of them! either that or I bring a case of beer to your home!
